LEADERSHIP PREP // 1 CREDIT // A study calling the student to the primacy of effective prayer and worship in the private life of the pastor – directly impacting the spiritual vitality of the entire church.
Biblical Counseling Lab 1
CONTINUING EDUCATION // 1 CREDIT // In this course, students will learn how to apply the skills they have learned from the Introduction to Biblical Counseling course by focusing on how to help people with their mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational problems using the word of God.
Missions 1: Missions Support
CONTINUING EDUCATION // 1 CREDIT // In this course, we will look at the Biblical examples of missions support, the historical movements and methods employed in missions support, and the role of the local church in modern missions support.
Freshman Orientation
FOUNDATIONS // 1 credit hour // This course is intended to help incoming students become familiar with the Living Faith Bible Institute, it’s philosophy, methodology and student expectations.
Foundations 1
FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit // Foundations 1 is a required introductory course that teaches core biblical doctrines and a philosophy of discipleship foundational to ministry.
Foundations 2
FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // The fall semester of Discipleship 2 (D2) will cover the Character & Spiritual Qualities of a Man or Woman of God and the Seven Stages of Spiritual Growth. This course is an introductory course for all LFBI students.
Foundations 3
FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // The spring semester of Discipleship 2 (D2) will cover the Philosophy of Discipleship; How to Disciple and How to Study the Bible. This course is the introductory course for all LFBI students.
Introduction to Old Testament 1
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credits // The “Introduction Series” is a bible survey course focused on the history and writings of both the Old and New Testaments of God’s Word. This course focuses on the books Genesis through Job.
The Gospel of Matthew
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credits // An expositional study of the first book of the New Testament, with careful attention paid to the doctrinal application primarily, but including some history and personal life application as well.
1 Corinthians
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credits // This is a strategic church epistle, studied in order to understand Paul’s description of ministry in an urban setting, including church order, structure, government and problems. Spiritual gifts are examined in light of the Spirit’s purpose in promoting the effectiveness of the local church.
Pastoral Epistles
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credits // This class is an intensive study of the epistles of Paul the apostle to pastors. This course is an exposition of 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus as God’s handbook for pastors. The content and themes are developed exegetically and expositorily with an emphasis on the responsibilities of pastoral leaders in the church.
Church History
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hour // The goal of this course is to equip the serious student of the word of God with the fundamental principles that govern the history of mankind as it relates to spiritual and ecclesiastical matters.
Realities of Biblical Discipleship
LEADERSHIP PREP // 1 credit hour // This course explores the personal responsibilities associated with discipleship in the local church. It will tackle the calling, culture and challenges that come with implementing discipleship from a leadership perspective.
Homiletics Lab 1
CONTINUING ED // 1 credit // In this course we will be introducing students to the processes and heart posture associated with preparing and presenting a sermon.
Ministry Practicum
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 CREDIT // The LFBI Ministry Practicum is an essential part of your education. The objective of this course is for you to develop and execute a ministry task, project, or program that will serve your local church.
Sevens / Summer Self-Pace
ESSENTIALS // 1 credit // May 29th - Aug 7th In this course we will focus on the numerological relationships between of the number seven in scripture while revealing doctrinal truths that are crucial to unlocking your Bible.
Romans / Summer Self-Pace
2 credits // Bible Essentials // In this class, students will explore the foundational book of Romans, with careful attention paid to church doctrine, along with history and personal life application. In addition, you’ll see how many Old Testament practices picture new testament doctrine.
Introduction to Old Testament 2 / Summer Self-Pace
ESSENTIALS // 2 credits // Intro to Old Testament 1 is an overview of Ecclesiastes through Malachi. Topics include the historical context, life application, pictures, types, prophecies, key features and dispensational truth.
Speech & Reasoning / Summer Self-Pace
PASTORAL PREP // 1 credit // This first quarter course is designed to equip you how to understand and defend a logical, Biblical worldview in a post-Christian world. You will learn principles of logic and the use of the Bible to draw proper conclusions.
