Program of Study

The Living Faith Bible Institute program of study is designed to help growing believers get a Bible-centered education and a biblical philosophy of local church ministry. Students who accumulate 60 credit hours in prescribed courses will receive an Associate of Divinity degree. The program covers 3 major levels of study: Foundations, Bible Essentials & Leadership Prep(+Electives).

Foundations

The Foundations courses are the entry level, required courses, that quite literally lay the foundation for leadership growth. These four classes represent seven credit hours that address biblical character, ministry, spiritual life and a systematic theology to build upon. Students are allowed to take any and all of these classes simultaneously.

FRESHMAN ORIENTATION (1 cr)

The Freshman Orientation course introduces students to LFBI and how it functions as an institution: how to use myLFBI and technology, basic study skills, and writing skills necessary to be successful in the school.

FOUNDATIONS 1 (2 cr)

Foundations 1 is a required class for all students entering LFBI who HAVE NOT completed Living Faith Fellowship’s Biblical Discipleship within their local church. This class is an introduction to core doctrines and a philosophy of discipleship foundational to ministry.

FOUNDATIONS 2 (2 cr)

Foundations 2 (previously Discipleship 2a)builds on principles from Foundations 1. This course emphasizes the character of biblical leadership and the process of sanctification in a believer: The Character Qualities of the Man/Woman of God, The Spiritual Qualities of the Man/Woman of God & The Seven Stages of Spiritual Growth

FOUNDATIONS 3 (2 cr)

Foundations 3 (previously Discipleship 2b) teaches the biblical leader principles for studying the Bible and instructing others in God's word: The Philosophy of Discipleship, How To Disciple & How to Study the Bible.

Bible Essentials

Bible Essentials provide you with the necessary biblical elements and principles for understanding the Bible. The Essentials level contains 24 core credit hours required for the Associate of Divinity degree program.

We highly advise that all incoming students emphasize Bible Essentials courses after Foundations. These classes are intended to lay the groundwork for which our Leadership Prep courses build upon.
