Pastoral Procedures
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // This course is concerned with practical pastoral duties, responsibilities, and relationships. Attention is given to proper procedures for hospital visitation, conducting various kinds of worship services (including baptism and the Lord’s Supper), wedding and funeral services, etc. Administrative responsibilities are reviewed, such as budgets, boards, etc.
The personal conduct of the pastor is also examined as it relates to his personal life, the flock, and his oversight thereof. Concerns and pitfalls in ministry are examined. This will be accomplished through lecture, observation, and research.
The Life of Christ
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // An expositional study of the life of Jesus Christ. This study will focus on the narrative of Christ’s life, his word and works, as an exemplar for the ministry of the New Testament minister. In this way, the gospels will become an instruction manual for those seeking to lead others in the body of Christ. The study will be primarily devotional and practical in nature as the student discovers how the ministry and character of Christ foreshadows and inform our own.
Prayer & Worship
LEADERSHIP PREP // 1 credit hour // This is a study highlighting the primacy of effective prayer and worship in the private life of the pastor, which directly impacts the spiritual vitality of the entire church.
Servant Leadership
LEADERSHIP PREP // 1 credit hour // This course focuses on servant leadership in the church through the lens of Mark 8-11, where we see that we serve God and should lead others to do the same.
Baptist History
ELECTIVE // 1 credit hour // This course deals with important moments and people that helped shape the theology and tradition of Baptists. This course explores Baptistic distinctives throughout church history and what can be learned from the moments, men, methods, and means within the Baptistic heritage.
Worldview & Biblical Reasoning
ELECTIVE // 1 credit hour // This course will expose the fallacies of man’s philosophy and teach and equip students on how to understand and defend a logical, biblical worldview in a post-Christian world.
Youth Ministry
ELECTIVE // 1 credit hour // This course will cover the topic of ministering to teens in the local church. Students will learn about how to envision, initiate, develop, and oversee youth ministries.
Missions Discovery Trip
LEADERSHIP PREP // 0 credit hours // This course provides students with a feedback and reporting mechanism that should include some, if not all, of the following elements: a summary of their mission trip, evangelical components and opportunities, local church support and edification, and training and teaching opportunities.
Ministry Practicum
LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // The objective of this required course is for the student to develop and execute a ministry task, project, or program that will serve their local church.
Fundaciones 2
FUNDACIONES // 2 credito horas // Fundaciones 2 va a cubrir el Carácter Espiritual de un Hombre y una Mujer de Dios y las Siete Etapas de un Crecimiento Espiritual. Este curso es una introducción a todos los cursos del instituto LFBI para los estudiantes.
Fundaciones 3
FUNDACIONES // 2 credito horas // Fundaciones 3 es un curso de equipamiento para lideres desarrollado por el Instituto Bíblico Living Faith. Los temas para este semestre son: La Filosofía del Discipulado, Como Discipular, Las Reglas del Estudio Bíblico, y Contradicciones Aparentes en la Biblia.
Realidades del Discipulado Bíblico
PREPARACIÓN DE LIDERAZGO // 1 credito hora // Este curso es un estudio expositivo de la Vida de Jesucristo. En este estudio nos vamos a enfocar en la narrativa de la vida de Cristo, Su Palabra, y Sus obras como ejemplo para el ministerio del ministro Nuevo Testamentario. De esta forma, los Evangelios se van a convertir en un manual de instrucción para todos aquellos que busquen liderar a otros en el Cuerpo de Cristo.

Siervo Líder
ELECTIVE // 1 crédito hora // Este curso se enfoca en el líder siervo en una iglesia por medio de los que dice Marcos 8-11, donde vemos que servimos a Dios y debemos liderar a otros a hacer lo mismo.

FOUNDATIONS // 1 credit hour // This course is intended to help incoming students become familiar with the Living Faith Bible Institute, its philosophy, methodology, and student expectations.
Foundations 1
FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // Foundations 1 is a required introductory course that teaches core biblical doctrines and a philosophy of discipleship foundational to ministry.
Foundations 2
FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // This semester of Foundations will cover the Character & Spiritual Qualities of a Man or Woman of God and the Seven Stages of Spiritual Growth. This course is an introductory course for all LFBI students.
Foundations 3
FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // This course will cover the Philosophy of Discipleship, How to Disciple, and How to Study the Bible. It serves as an introductory course for all LFBI students.
Apologetics
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 1 credit hour // This course is designed to equip students to boldly prove biblical Christianity within a secular world while exemplifying a gentle and kind spirit as found in Matthew 10:16.
Hermeneutics
BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credit hours // An introduction to the fundamental concepts of correct Bible study, focusing on established and time-honored rules of Bible study, the proper use of basic Bible study tools, and an understanding of the theme of the Bible.
