LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // This course will give students an understanding of the sufficiency of Scripture to help people with their mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational problems. Students will see how God's Word transcends modern therapeutic, psychological, and psychiatric approaches.

LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 CREDIT // This course focuses on the preparation and delivery of biblical sermons, studies, and lessons. The student will learn an exegetical and expositional approach to preaching and further develop a biblical hermeneutic.

LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // This class is an intensive study of the epistles of Paul the apostle to pastors. This course is an exposition of 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy and Titus as God’s handbook for pastors. The content and themes therein are developed exegetically and expositorily with an emphasis on the responsibilities of pastoral leaders in the church.

LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // This course is concerned with practical pastoral duties, responsibilities, and relationships. Attention is given to proper procedures for hospital visitation, conducting various kinds of worship services (including baptism and the Lord’s Supper), wedding and funeral services, etc. Administrative responsibilities are reviewed, such as budgets, boards, etc.

The personal conduct of the pastor is also examined as it relates to his personal life, the flock, and his oversight thereof. Concerns and pitfalls in ministry are examined. This will be accomplished through lecture, observation, and research.

ELECTIVE // 1 credit hour // This course is a follow-up to the Intro to Biblical Counseling Course. In this course, we will be applying the knowledge from that course, as well as the Self-Confrontation material, to work through counseling vignettes.

ELECTIVE // 1 credit hour // In this course we will be introducing students to the processes and heart posture associated with preparing and presenting a sermon.

ELECTIVE // 1 credit hour // In this course, we will look at the Biblical examples of missions support, the historical movements and methods employed in missions support, and the role of the local church in modern missions support.

ELECTIVES // 3 credit hours // The Biblical Counseling Capstone is an advisor guided, independent study and research-based course. The student will write a 20–25-page essay based on a relevant subject within the theological and ministry realm of biblical counseling. 

LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // An expositional study of the life of Jesus Christ. This study will focus on the narrative of Christ’s life, his word and works, as an exemplar for the ministry of the New Testament minister. In this way, the gospels will become an instruction manual for those seeking to lead others in the body of Christ. The study will be primarily devotional and practical in nature as the student discovers how the ministry and character of Christ foreshadows and inform our own.

ELECTIVES // 3 credit hours // The Biblical Studies Capstone is an advisor guided, independent study and research-based course. The student will write a 20–25-page essay based on a relevant subject within the biblical study and hermeneutics.

ELECTIVES // 3 credit hours // The Ministry Leadership Capstone is an advisor guided, independent study and research-based course. The student will write a 20–25-page essay based on a relevant subject within the theological and ministry realm.

ELECTIVES // 3 credit hours // The Missions Capstone is an advisor-guided, independent study and research-based course. The student will write a 20–25-page essay based on a relevant subject within the theological and ministerial realm of missiology. 

ELECTIVES // 3 credit hours // The Theology, Philosophy & History Capstone is an advisor guided, independent study and research-based course. The student will write a 20–25-page essay based on a relevant subject within the theological and ministry realm.

LEADERSHIP PREP // 2 credit hours // The objective of this required course is for the student to develop and execute a ministry task, project, or program that will serve their local church.

LEADERSHIP PREP // 0 credit hours // This course provides students with a feedback and reporting mechanism that should include some, if not all, of the following elements: a summary of their mission trip, evangelical components and opportunities, local church support and edification, and training and teaching opportunities.

FOUNDATIONS // 1 credit hour // This course is intended to help incoming students become familiar with the Living Faith Bible Institute, its philosophy, methodology, and student expectations.

FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // Foundations 1 is a required introductory course that teaches core biblical doctrines and a philosophy of discipleship foundational to ministry.

FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // This semester of Foundations will cover the Character & Spiritual Qualities of a Man or Woman of God and the Seven Stages of Spiritual Growth. This course is an introductory course for all LFBI students.

FOUNDATIONS // 2 credit hours // This course will cover the Philosophy of Discipleship, How to Disciple, and How to Study the Bible. It serves as an introductory course for all LFBI students.

BIBLE ESSENTIALS // 2 credit hours // Introduction to New Testament 1 is an overview of Matthew through 2 Thessalonians. Topics include the historical context, life application, pictures, types, prophecies, key features and dispensational truth.
