Program of study
Our four year program of study is designed to help working adults get an education that enables a strong understanding of Scripture and gives practical insights and tools for a biblical philosophy of ministry. Each semester, six to eight credit hours are offered, enabling students to continue to hold a full time job (or attend their local university) and yet, still serve within their local church. Students accumulating 60 credit hours in prescribed courses will receive an Associate of Divinity degree. The program covers 3 major sections of study: D2, Bible Essentials, and Pastoral Prep.
Discipleship 2, or D2 for short, are training classes to help local church members grow. Discipleship 2 covers two semesters of instruction equaling a total of four core credit hours and is required for the Associate of Divinity degree program.
D2 classes are on Saturday mornings from 9:45 - 11:15 a.m. CST. This training, led by Pastor Kenny Morgan, is available for all those who have completed their local church’s discipleship course and are ready to move forward in their understanding of the Word of God and local church ministry. It is recommended that LFBI students have this course (or local church equivalent) before taking the higher level classes.
