Sam Miles serves as President and Instructor of Biblical Studies and Ministry Leadership at Living Faith Bible Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, and as senior pastor of Midtown Baptist Temple. His pastoral and instructional work is shaped by a commitment to church planting, church revitalization, and the development of leaders who can equip others for ministry. Miles helped establish Midtown Baptist Temple through a Bible study and disciple-making outreach in the heart of Kansas City and has led the congregation in training and sending leaders to establish new churches. His philosophy of ministry emphasizes the authority of Scripture, personal discipleship, prayer, and the responsibility of the local church to prepare and send believers into the work of the Great Commission. At LFBI, he teaches biblical studies and pastoral ministry, drawing on his experience to help students consider the character, responsibilities, and relationships necessary for faithful church leadership. Across his academic and pastoral roles, Miles seeks to strengthen existing congregations and cultivate healthy churches that make disciples, develop leaders, and multiply their ministry through church planting.
