ELECTIVES // 1 credit hour // This course presents students with a series of lectures and reading assignments that delve into the specialized area of trauma and grief in the context of biblical counseling.

ELECTIVES // 2 credit hours // This course will cover children’s ministry in the local church. Students will learn about children’s ministry and initiating, developing, and overseeing these ministries.
Homiletics Lab 2
ELECTIVES // 1 credit hour // In this course we will be introducing students to the processes and heart posture associated with preparing and presenting a sermon.
Life of Moses & Elisha
ELECTIVES // 1 credit hour // This study will focus on the miracles and works of Moses and Elisha as types of the New Testament minister and as an instruction manual for those seeking to lead others in the body of Christ.
Biblical Counseling Capstone: Research Course
ELECTIVES // 3 credit hours // The Biblical Counseling Capstone is an advisor guided, independent study and research-based course. The student will write a 20–25-page essay based on a relevant subject within the theological and ministry realm of biblical counseling.
Minor Prophets
ELECTIVES // 1 credit hour // This course is an expository survey of the twelve books that end the Old Testament called the Minor Prophets. We will unpack their major truths in historical, dispensational and practical perspectives. Primary attention will be given to their practical message for the church and contemporary issues.
Missions Capstone: Research Course
ELECTIVES // 3 credit hours // The Missions Capstone is an advisor-guided, independent study and research-based course. The student will write a 20–25-page essay based on a relevant subject within the theological and ministerial realm of missiology.

ELECTIVE // 1 credit hour // This course presents students with a series of lectures and reading assignments that address acute relational issues (interpersonal, familial and marital). It also provides students with role-playing counseling exercises intended to build confidence and strengthen biblical counseling methods.
Worldview & Biblical Reasoning
ELECTIVES // 1 credit hour // This course will expose the fallacies of man’s philosophy and teach and equip students on how to understand and defend a logical, biblical worldview in a post-Christian world.
Youth & Children’s Ministry
ELECTIVES // 2 credit hours // This course will cover youth and children’s ministry in the local church. Students will learn about youth and children’s ministry and initiating, developing, and overseeing these ministries.
Biblical Counseling Lab 1
ELECTIVES // 1 credit hour // This course is a follow-up to the Intro to Biblical Counseling Course. In this course, we will be applying the knowledge from that course, as well as the Self-Confrontation material, to work through counseling vignettes.
